When viewing Service bookings (Appointments) in your admin calendar, Jezzam displays the Service name followed by the Customer name. This allows you to see at a glance who made the booking and what the booking is for.

Jezzam allows you to customise these default settings.

To change the information displayed in the Admin Calendar for Services bookings:

  1. Go to Settings > Admin Calendars
  2. Scroll down until you see the "Display options for service bookings" section
  3. Select one of the options to change what information is displayed on the Admin Calendar for Service bookings (more details of these options are provided below)
  4. Click "Save"

Display Options available for Service bookings

Jezzam gives you 6 different option for displaying Service booking information on the Admin Calendar:

1. Service name, Customer name (default):

This is the default option.  When viewing bookings in the Admin Calendar the Service name is shown, followed by the Customer name.

2. Customer name, Service name:

This option reverses the default setting so that the Customer name is shown first, followed by the Service name

3. Service name only:

With this option only the Service name is shown for the booking (this is useful for example, if you want to hide the customer name on your Admin Calendar.  You can still see customer information in the popup that appears when you click on the booking).

4. Customer name only:

With this option only the Customer name is show for the booking.

5. Service name, custom booking field:

If you use Jezzam's custom booking field feature, this option lets you choose one of your custom booking fields to be displayed on the Admin Calendar.  The Service name will be displayed first, followed by the information collected in the custom booking field for the booking.  The information is automatically abbreviated to 25 characters.

When using this option you need to select the custom booking field you want to use from the list of all your custom booking fields.  You can also optionally enter a label that will be added to the displayed information.

Note that using this option is an advanced configuration setting and works well, for example, when you have a custom booking field that you use on all service bookings.  If a booking does not use the custom field (that is, it is not included in a custom form used by the booking), the Customer name for the booking will be displayed (see below for more details on adding a label).

6. Customer name, custom booking field

If you use Jezzam's custom booking field feature, this option lets you choose one of your custom booking fields to be displayed on the Admin Calendar.  The Customer name will be displayed first, followed by the information collected in the custom booking field for the booking.  The information is automatically abbreviated to 25 characters.

When using this option you need to select the custom booking field you want to use from the list of all your custom booking fields.  You can also optionally enter a label that will be added to the displayed information (see below for more details on adding a label).

Note that using this option is an advanced configuration setting and works well, for example, when you have a custom booking field that you use on all service bookings.  If a booking does not use the custom field (that is, it is not included in a custom form used by the booking), the Service name for the booking will be displayed.

Using the "Label" feature with the custom field options

If you use one of the "custom booking" field options (options 5 and 6 above) ,you can also optionally enter a label that will be displayed with the information contained within the custom booking field.  By default, the label will pre-fix the data.

For example, if the label you enter is "Student:" and the data entered in the chosen booking field was "Josephine Richards", the information displayed on the Admin Calendar would be "Student: Josephine Richards".  See the advanced tip below for more advanced options for using the label feature.

ADVANCED TIP:
The label contains an advanced feature which lets you position the label relative to the data entered in the field.  To use this advanced feature, type in the label text that you want and then type in the special placeholder {{field}} where you would like it to appear in relation to the tip.  See the examples below:
{{field}} (Student) would display for example: Josephine Richards (Student)
Shoe size - {{field}} (UK) would display for example: Shoe size - 9 (UK)
