Emails sent via Jezzam can be sent to three types of recipients:
- Your Customers
- Administrators
- Your Staff
Jezzam allows you to customise the design of your emails for each of these recipient groups. In other words, you can have one design of email that is sent to your customers, a different design that is used for emails sent to your administrators and a further design that's used for emails to your staff.
The way you customise the design for emails is the same for each group.
Customising email design
- Log in to your Jezzam account admin panel
- Go to Settings > Communications
- Select the "Email design" tab
You will see there are different sections where you can customise the look and feel of the emails sent to your Customers, Administrators or Staff.
You can see that each email design consists of various elements that you can customise to change the look of your emails.
The table below explains the various elements available for customisation.
Note that some of these elements may not be available for the design template you have selected.
Design template | These are professionally designed HTML email templates that you can choose. They have been created to look great on different email apps and work across different devices such as tablets and phones. |
Banner image | Some of the templates allow you to add an optional banner image. You can choose from a selection of stock sample images or you can choose to upload your own custom image The banner image you use will be used on all the emails sent to this recipient group. |
Font | You can select from a number of different fonts. The fonts available are all web safe fonts, meaning that they will display correctly on most devices. |
Buttons | Some emails have buttons. These allow the recipient to click and perform an action. You can change both the colour of the button and the colour of the font displayed in the button. |
Highlight colour | Some design templates have a highlight or accented colour as part of the design. You can change the highlight colour to match your brand. |
Background colour | Some design templates allow you to change the colour of the background around the edge of the email. |
How to change the design
To customise the email design first select a Design template.
TIP: It's a good idea to use the Preview button frequently to see how your design looks
Once you've selected your Design template, you can then modify various elements of the design to match it to your own brand.
You can change the Design template at any time and any modifications to other elements will remain.
For example you can change the font used, various colours used in the template and even add a banner (such as your logo).
Simply select the element and make the changes you want.
How to add your own image
Some design templates allow you to add your own image. To do this:
- Under Banner image, select Custom
- Click Choose image
- Find the image on your computer and click Open or OK to upload
- The image will upload
- Click the Preview button to see what your design looks like
Image specifications: You can upload a JPG or PNG with a maximum width of 600px and a maximum file size of 150Kb

TIP: Using a PNG with a transparent background can be very effective in placing your logo on one of Jezzam's email designs
Previewing and testing your design
You can preview your design at any time by clicking the Preview button.
The preview uses sample data to allow you to see what your design looks like.
On the preview dialog, you can also send a test email so that you can review your design and see what emails will look like when sent to various email apps and devices.
Resetting your design
You can easily reset your design as follows:
- Click Reload default
- Click Yes
Note: the reset will only be saved if you click Save to save your design.
How to Undo your changes
You can undo any changes to the last save point as follows:
- Click the Undo button at the bottom of the page

Remember to save your design as follows:
- Click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen
